In general, SharePoint 2013 provides the below methods for Status bar.
1. addStatus – Method that allows you to add a new status in the status bar.
2. appendStatus – Method that appends status to an existing status.
3. updateStatus – Method to update an existing status message.
4. setStatusPriColor – Method that lets you set the color to give a rich user experience.
5. removeStatus – Removes a specific status.
6. removeAllStatus – Removes all status messages from the status bar.
